This was a fun Christmas commission from a daughter for her mother of their newly built home on the lake. The mother had commissioned me to do three houses for her daughter previously. I love it when I get to create special memories for multiple generations.

This is one I have wanted to sketch for some time now… a lovely spot in the area near where I live. What was once a residence on this lovely lake is now a local botanical garden filled with the most luscious hydrangeas you will find.
This home was done in 2007 and is in the Highland Lakes subdivision of Birmingham, AL.
