This pastel painting was done from a photograph I took in the Smokies a number of years ago while out driving along a nature trail. Everything in sight was covered in green… moss, leaves, light, rocks, reflections… all the greens. It was the perfect piece to break in many of the new pastels that I had gotten earlier this year. (See unboxing video from February.) I used mostly Blue Earth, Schmincke, Terry Ludwig, Sennelier pastels and PanPastel for this one. Stay tuned for a process video…
